Originally Gene's Van Conversion started in 1984.
We converted raw cargo vans into high end luxury vans and sold them mainly
to the local region but also delivered to a Arizona dealership.
Our experience with vehicles is extensive, including cutting windows, electrical
component wiring and many other custom abilities most shops do not have.

The times have changed greatly and we continue to offer some of our abilities
in the custom field for van building including interior cages for law enforcement
prisoner haulers, and over the road interior of Sprinter vans.

The pickup after market parts and accessories is a bigger part of what we see
in the vehicle modifications these days than the vans.

Today our staff consist of
  • Steve our shop foreman (overseer of all work done) and he does most
    of it.
  • Tanya, our front desk order taker and maker, shipping and receiving,
also keeps everyone on their toes  making sure paper work is done
properly. You will be hard pressed to out think her when it comes to
pickup parts, seating or most things after market.
  • Aron, (My son) who does installations and repairs. He is a perfectionist.
  • Lori head of our mobility sales division and has an extensive
knowledge of truck stuff too, with her history from S&C auto.
  • Dan, (myself) holding it all together. My back ground is in designing and
building van and truck conversions starting in 1981 at LaVan in Lincoln
Ne. and then moving on to Lancaster Coach.              In 1984 Gene
Grandstaff (The Gene in Gene's) asked if I would like to make a go of it
in Indianola? Obviously I said yes.        1991 I would purchase the
company from Gene in pursuit of continuing what was started and
expanding into mobility equipped vehicles for the physically challenged.
